Gerber Daisies

After dinner for a short trip to Home Depot I thought it was time for Padyn to get a flower....

She was carrying it around the store and said "take it home mommy?" Take flower home?"

So we took it home....

Zoo....

Tuesday morning we got up and headed to the Birmingham Zoo with Tripp's Mom, Brantley, Tucker and Taylor Britton. Padyn was excited to see the "animals". We got there right when they opened and saw all sorts of fun animals... favorite were the Giraffes (she ignored the huge lion in front of us and was talking about the giraffes way in the back.) then when we were at the giraffe she spent the whole time saying "come on giraffe" and waving her little hand trying to get them to come... and would you know one came over really close.... she LOVED it.
She also loves the otters just like Ozzy (her otter from the TN aquarium). We petted the goats and talked to the pig and Templeton (the rat). She neighed at the ponys and even road the carousel (which she did not like). All in all so much fun and she really enjoyed it!

Porter LOVED riding the carousel and following Tucker around. I think they both got skinned knees from running too fast.

The kids slept just a little while in the car on the way home and Porter took a short nap when we got back to the house. Padyn just destroyed a pack of wipes in her bed and opened all the ponytail holders and made a huge mess. We packed the car and went back to Brantley's and the kids jumped some more on the trampoline.

We went to a celebration for Tripp's dad and then got in the car at 8:00 and headed home. Porter slept most of the way, Padyn not really at all, but we made it home and got in bed.

What a busy 3 days, but we had so much FUN with family!

Pics from the zoo coming.....

Tate Farms....

Saturday Morning (Oct 2nd) Tripp and I got up with the kids and headed over to Tate Farms... Not only did we have a fantastic time, one of the things that stood out was how clean and fresh the farm felt. Everything looked brand new and just very well planned.

We started the outing with a little bunny petting. Padyn liked touching her nose to the bunny's nose and of course petting the soft bunny. She pointed out the ears to us, then it was Porter's turn. I honestly think he could have cared less about the bunny, but he liked to be able to do the same thing that his sister was doing. We also got to pet a goat and then the cutest puppies... Padyn would clap and click her tongue trying to get the puppies to come to her... she kept barking at them and it was so precious. She just laughed and loved the puppies.

There was a 30ft slide that Padyn and I made our way down... I don't think she knew what to think of it.

We then made our way over to the big trailer filled with cotton. Porter loved it and after a while Padyn got into it and started "jumpy jumpy" in the trailer.

Out Next stop was the Corn Crib. HUGE bins, almost like a swimming pool filled with corn kernels. Both kids loved it and aside from the corn down their pants it was an fun filled stop.

It was then time to take a hayride out to the pumpkin patch to get a pumpkin. The kids had fun on the ride and didn't know what to think about the big field of pumpkins. Padyn knew they were "orange" but by the end of the day she knew it was a pumpkin.

After our hayride we had lunch at the farm and after a few more stops for pictures we headed home. All in all a perfect fall day and to top it off Alabama won the game that night!
